Indian benchmarks continued to extend losses during the noon trading session while Pharma stocks were under pressure. All the sectoral indices are trading in the red with IT, pharma, PSU Bank down 1-2 percent. BSE midcap index down 1%, and BSE smallcap index sheds 1.5%.
Overseas, European stocks are seen opening on a mixed note Friday, after having touched three-week lows in the previous session on worries about the outlook for rates and growth.
Meanwhile, shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) gained 2.2 per cent at ₹3,725 on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade. Supreme Petrochem shares rose 4 per cent on BSE, logging an intra-day high at ₹888 per share.
At 12:37 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80756.77 down by -402.91 points or by -0.5 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24778.3 down by -112.55 points or by -0.45 %.
The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 81033.09 and intraday low of 80695.09 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24868.6 and intraday low of 24737.55.

Whereas, top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1578.15,-3.06%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 721.40,-2.59%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3442.00,-2.43%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 168.55,-2.18%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1415.70,-1.95%), among others.
