Indian stock markets staged a smart recovery in the last few hours of the session today, ending Tuesday's session on a marginally negative note.

Trent, Tech Mahindra, SBI Life, Ultratech Cement, HUL, HDFC Life, Nestle, Asian Paints, Cipla, Grasim, Eternal, and Hero MotoCorp were the top losers on the Nifty index today, declining up to 2.5 per cent.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 82102.1 down by -57.87 points or by -0.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25169.5 down by -32.85 points or by -0.13 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82370.38 and intraday low of 81776.53 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25261.9 and intraday low of 25084.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 755.25,+2.90%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1170.75,+2.32%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1025.50,+1.94%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16097.95,+1.83%), State Bank of India (Rs. 870.50,+1.81%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1473.00,-2.07%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2521.55,-1.94%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12406.65,-1.90%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1168.50,-1.62%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2447.50,-1.42%), among others.
