Benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty50, opened lower on Monday, weighed down by IT stocks.

IT companies shares were the biggest losers after the US announced a $100,000 one-time fee on new H-1B visas.

At 9:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82514.89 down by -111.34 points or by -0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25314.2 down by -12.85 points or by -0.05 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82583.16 and intraday low of 82151.07 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25321.85 and intraday low of 25211.6

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1443.35,+1.09%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1000.75,+0.78%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 339.05,+0.74%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12591.95,+0.58%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2568.60,+0.38%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1496.90,-3.67%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3101.25,-2.16%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1513.00,-1.77%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1443.55,-1.63%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1642.90,-0.79%), among others.
