Stock markets extended their losing streak for a third straight session on Monday, with benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty falling nearly 1 percent. The decline was driven by sharp selling in Kotak Mahindra Bank and lingering uncertainty surrounding the India-US trade deal.

The 30-share benchmark indices ended at 80891.02 down by -572.07 points or by -0.7 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24680.9 down by -156.1 points or by -0.63 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81557.41 and intraday low of 80776.44 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24889.2 and intraday low of 24646.6

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2444.90,+1.23%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2358.95,+1.00%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1488.65,+0.82%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 293.05,+0.43%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2008.05,+0.18%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1965.60,-7.50%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 880.40,-3.64%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 802.15,-2.62%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1892.10,-2.35%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3384.40,-2.17%), among others.
