Stock markets opened in the red on Thursday amid feeble global cues. Investors are assessing the trade deal between the US and China, while monitoring tensions between the US and Iran, which has pushed oil prices higher.

At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82476.49 down by -38.65 points or by -0.05 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25173.7 up by 32.3 points or by 0.13 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82661.04 and intraday low of 82411.54 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25180.1 and intraday low of 25117.6
