Benchmark Sensex closed higher by 123 points while Nifty rose for a sixth consecutive day on Wednesday following a rally in global markets amid optimism over US-China trade talks and foreign fund inflows.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 82515.14 up by 123.42 points or by 0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25141.4 up by 37.15 points or by 0.15 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82783.51 and intraday low of 82308.91 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25222.4 and intraday low of 25081.3

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1721.60,+3.22%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1630.70,+2.16%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1638.90,+1.74%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1448.75,+0.71%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2012.40,+0.70%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 295.45,-1.89%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1456.05,-1.24%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 836.10,-1.21%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1949.60,-0.83%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2376.15,-0.80%), among others.
