India’s equity market edged lower after a choppy start, with benchmark indices continuing their consolidation amid mixed global cues.

At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80902.79 down by -470.96 points or by -0.58 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24575.7 down by -140.9 points or by -0.57 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81774.23 and intraday low of 80575.09 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24845.1 and intraday low of 24502.15

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3054.35,+0.96%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1635.00,+0.20%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1434.80,-2.28%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1993.50,-1.76%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 8994.75,-1.50%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 288.85,-1.42%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11036.30,-1.36%), among others.
