Market benchmarks were trading nearly flat, but with a positive bias in a volatile session on Tuesday, amid mixed global cues. In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 was ahead by 0.53 per cent, and the Nifty Smallcap 100 was higher by 0.74 per cent.

Meanwhile, Shares of IndusInd Bank extended its four-day winning streak on Tuesday, rallying 3 per cent to ₹852.4 in intra-day trade on the BSE.

On the corporate front, Shares of Gensol Engineering continued their downward spiral on Tuesday, hitting a 5 per cent lower circuit yet again following a raid by the Directorate of Enforcement.

At 11:47 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80322.78 up by 104.41 points or by 0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24347.65 up by 19.15 points or by 0.08 %.

During the trade so-far, Sensex touched intraday high of 80661.31 and intraday low of 80122.02 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24457.65 and intraday low of 24290.75.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1402.50,+2.48%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 231.25,+1.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1485.20,+1.60%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3354.00,+0.79%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1219.90,+0.70%), among others.

While, the top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11883.80,-1.85%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 303.70,-1.60%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1819.80,-1.19%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2378.95,-1.05%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1905.10,-0.75%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3962 , shares advanced were 2010 while 1756 shares declined and 196 were unchanged.
