Indian benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and Nifty50 were higher on Monday, despite uncertainty regarding tariffs, the tense situation between India and Pakistan.

At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80068.23 up by 855.7 points or by 1.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24305.05 up by 265.7 points or by 1.11 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80321.88 and intraday low of 79341.35 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24355.1 and intraday low of 24054.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1364.80,+4.98%), State Bank of India (Rs. 819.50,+2.60%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1830.30,+2.43%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1189.50,+2.08%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2909.35,+1.65%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1548.70,-1.94%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12142.00,-0.77%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 9056.35,-0.60%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 227.00,-0.59%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2405.30,-0.37%), among others.

Oil&Gas index was at 26420.01 up by 673.3 points or by 2.62%. Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1364.80,+4.98%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 308.00,+4.27%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd.
