Indian benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and Nifty50 gained slightly at market open on Tuesday, amid weakness in global markets, after US President Donald Trump's comments against the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

At 9:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79575.14 up by 166.64 points or by 0.21 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24133.55 up by 8 points or by 0.03 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 79728.39 and intraday low of 79253.44 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24201.65 and intraday low of 24072

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 241.60,+3.18%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2273.05,+1.36%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1953.00,+1.32%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 140.90,+1.22%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 426.90,+0.97%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 799.70,-3.42%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1429.00,-1.48%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 315.30,-1.45%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2424.45,-0.85%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1870.00,-0.72%), among others.
