Bartronics India Limited (BIL) has entered into a strategic partnership with Huwel Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd, investing up to Rs 50 crore to acquire a 15% equity stake in the Hyderabad-based molecular diagnostics company, with an option to increase its stake by an additional 15%. The collaboration aims to combine BIL’s scaling expertise with Huwel’s innovation capabilities to accelerate affordable healthcare solutions in India and international markets.

Huwel Life Sciences, led by Founder & CEO Dr. Rachana Tripathi, operates from an ISO-certified, CE/FDA-compliant facility and has developed over 100 validated diagnostic products covering TB, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, viral threats, genetic disorders, and cancer. Its flagship product, the Quantiplus® TB Fast Detection Kit, is ICMR-approved and the only affordable RT-PCR solution for TB confirmatory testing in India.

Under this partnership, BIL will lead market growth, technology support, digital outreach, and development of customized platforms. It will manage commercial engagements, including government, institutional, and international orders, ensuring predictable and recurring revenue streams. Both companies will also collaborate on R&D, product launches, and international expansion, positioning India as a global hub for life sciences innovation.

Mr. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director of BIL, stated, “This partnership strengthens our role in national health programs and creates recurring revenue opportunities while supporting India’s mission to eliminate TB.” Dr. Rachana Tripathi added, “With BIL’s partnership, we are ready to scale our diagnostic innovations across India and globally, safeguarding public health.”

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to strengthening India’s healthcare system, advancing disease elimination programs, and establishing global leadership in affordable diagnostics.
