The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) will host the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025 from 25 to 28 September at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Spread across 1,00,000 sq. meters, this global food event will feature participation from over 21 countries, 21 Indian states/UTs, 10 central ministries, and five allied government organisations, making it the largest gathering of stakeholders in India’s food processing sector.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on 25 September 2025 at 6 p.m. Distinguished guests include Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, and Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan said World Food India is a transformative platform to position India as a global hub for food innovation, investment, and sustainability. The event underscores India’s commitment to future-ready food systems and strengthens its position as the “Food Basket of the World.”

Partner countries for this year’s edition are New Zealand and Saudi Arabia, while Japan, Russia, the UAE and Vietnam will serve as focus countries. The event will host over 1,700 exhibitors, 500 international buyers and representatives from more than 100 nations. It will feature over 45 knowledge sessions, thematic conferences, CXO roundtables, and parallel events such as the 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit, the 24th India International Seafood Show and a Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet.

Key exhibitions include international pavilions, state and ministry pavilions, a Pet Food Pavilion, Technology Pavilion, and a Start-up Innovation Pavilion. The event will revolve around five core themes — sustainability and net-zero food processing, India as a global hub, frontiers in processing technology, nutrition and wellness, and livestock and marine products driving the rural economy.

Paswan also launched a publication titled “Frequently Asked Questions on Different Concepts of Food Processing” to address myths around processed foods and promote science-based consumer choices.

With the active support of multiple ministries and departments, World Food India 2025 aims to showcase India’s progress in food processing and strengthen global collaboration and investments.
