Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri J. P. Nadda unveiled the logo and brochure of the Global Food Regulators Summit (GFRS) 2025 at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. Organised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Summit will be held on 26–27 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam alongside World Food India 2025.
Highlighting the theme “Evolving Food Systems – Yatha Annam Tatha Manah,” the Minister stressed the deep link between food quality, mental well-being, and societal health. He urged regulators to adopt a multi-dimensional approach to ensure safe, healthy food and to keep standards updated in line with changing consumer habits and technology.
The GFRS 2025 aims to provide a platform for global regulators to harmonize standards, enhance risk assessment capacities, and explore innovations in food safety. It will feature keynote addresses from international organizations, technical and plenary sessions, bilateral meetings, and the launch of the ‘Eat Right Thali’ book showcasing balanced, traditional diets from all Indian states.
Marking its third edition, the Summit brings together WHO, FAO, Codex, EFSA and other international bodies, reinforcing India’s position as a hub for global food safety dialogue and regulatory innovation. Senior officials from FSSAI and the Ministry of Health were also present at the launch.
