The rupee ended Monday’s session 6 paise stronger at 88.20 (provisional) against the US dollar, after trading in a narrow range amid mixed global cues. The domestic currency moved between an intraday low of 88.30 and a high of 88.13 at the interbank foreign exchange market.
Forex traders attributed the rupee’s stability to likely RBI intervention, which helped curb volatility and limit depreciation pressures, even as markets weighed concerns over US trade tariffs and hopes of a Federal Reserve rate cut.
