The Indian Navy on September 8, 2025, launched its 11th Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, LSAM 25 (Yard 135), at M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd, Thane. The ceremony was graced by Rear Admiral Vishal Bishnoi, ACWP&A, as the chief guest.
The contract for 11 ACTCM barges was awarded to the MSME shipyard on March 5, 2021. Designed and built indigenously in collaboration with an Indian ship design firm and certified by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), the barges underwent seaworthiness testing at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam.
So far, ten barges have been delivered and are in operational use by the Navy. The ACTCM barges stand as a testament to the Government’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
