Gold prices fell by Rs 237 to Rs 98,532 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday, weighed down by subdued demand in the spot market and weak global cues.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery dropped Rs 237 or 0.24%, with a trading volume of 12,512 lots.
Analysts said the decline was largely driven by a lack of momentum in the international market, pressuring domestic prices.
