Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, has lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s latest edition of Mann Ki Baat, calling it a powerful platform of inspiration and learning that reflects India’s spirit of nation-building and environmental consciousness.

Responding to the Prime Minister’s address, Shri Sonowal said, "Mann Ki Baat consistently highlights inspiring stories and transformative efforts from every corner of the nation. It has grown into a deeply enriching programme that not only informs but also uplifts and enlightens."

He emphasized the profound impact of the broadcast, noting, "Mann Ki Baat, guided by the Prime Minister’s global stature and close connect with citizens, serves as a vital platform for inspiring people across the country to work toward a stronger and more united India."

Shri Sonowal particularly praised PM Modi’s reference to Kaziranga National Park in the recent episode. “The Prime Minister’s focus on Kaziranga’s rich bird biodiversity—beyond its iconic rhinoceros—is a moment of pride for Assam and the Northeast. It’s encouraging to see him spotlight the first-ever Grassland Bird Census and the innovative use of AI and sound technology in conservation efforts,” he remarked.

During his broadcast, Prime Minister Modi stated, “While Kaziranga is known for its rhinos, this time, the spotlight is on its grasslands and avian life. The first-ever ‘Grassland Bird Census’ identified over 40 bird species, many of them rare. Using sound recording devices and AI, these birds were documented without causing disturbance. When technology combines with sensitivity, our understanding of nature deepens significantly.”

Echoing this vision, Shri Sonowal said, “These forward-looking initiatives pave the way for a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. The Prime Minister’s commitment to integrating innovation with environmental empathy sets an inspiring example for all and offers a roadmap for future generations.”

Reaffirming his admiration for the programme, the Minister said that Mann Ki Baat continues to serve as a beacon of awareness, inspiration, and national pride. He tuned in to the broadcast from his residence, joined by BJP members, government officials, and members of the public.
