The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced it will conduct a 7-day Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on Friday, July 25, 2025. This decision follows a review of the prevailing and anticipated liquidity conditions in the financial system.
The auction will be held between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM, with a notified amount of Rs 1,25,000 crore. The funds absorbed through this operation will be reversed on August 1, 2025.
In addition, the central bank has decided not to conduct the 14-day main VRRR operation on the same day for the upcoming fortnight. The RBI confirmed that the operational guidelines for the auction will remain consistent with those outlined in its press release dated February 13, 2020 (2019-2020/1947).
