Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday dedicated the first unit of the Ghatampur thermal power project in Uttar Pradesh to the nation. The project, with a total investment of Rs 21,780.94 crore, is being developed in three phases.
According to the Ministry of Coal, the plant consists of three supercritical thermal units of 660 MW each, totaling 1,980 MW in installed capacity. The remaining two units are expected to be commissioned within the current financial year.
