The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a draft circular titled ‘Inoperative Accounts/Unclaimed Deposits in Banks – Revised Instructions (Amendment) 2025’ and is inviting public comments on the proposed changes.
This draft circular amends the guidelines outlined in paragraph 6.1 of the original circular ‘Inoperative Accounts/ Unclaimed Deposits in Banks – Revised Instructions’, dated January 1, 2024.
