India and the Maldives have signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) under the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) Phase III, aimed at strengthening ferry services and improving community welfare in the island nation.
The agreements, backed by an Indian grant of MVR 100 million (approximately ?55.3 crore), were signed during a ceremony at the Maldives’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to an official statement from the ministry, these projects will enhance maritime connectivity and uplift local communities, reflecting the deepening partnership between the two nations.
