Copper futures edge lower on muted demand

Copper prices slipped by 0.25% to Rs 853 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday as participants trimmed their positions amid weak domestic demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for May delivery fell Rs 2.10 to Rs 853 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 7,399 lots.

Analysts said the decline was driven by subdued demand and reduced buying interest.
