Zinc prices dropped 0.73% to Rs 249.90 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday as speculators trimmed their positions, following weak cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for May delivery declined by Rs 1.85 to Rs 249.90 per kilogram, with a turnover of 2,675 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall to reduced buying interest from consuming industries in the physical market.
